Interesting, I would be pouring it in a glass no matter what, anyhow, but I'd be curious if it affects the taste at all.

Well, that could be on you. And understandably so! We eat with our eyes first, and the presentation could leave a bad taste in your mouth, per se

I've had nitros in cans before. Sometimes it tastes the same. Initially, I was turned off from the start.

There are a lot of craft breweries around here starting to can beer again. It seems wrong but I doubt it effects taste. There is a brewery locally that instead of using glass growlers for taking beer home cans a quart on the spot for you. They are supposed to be good for a week.
Being right is the least of my concerns.

those new canners are huge out here.  within a month of purchasing the thing pays for itself

I have only seen the one place do it but it makes for pretty cool packaging and no need to haul a glass growler around.
Being right is the least of my concerns.
